1935 Nash Advanced Eight Series 3580 Navigation
Like most automakers, Nash was damaged badly by the Depression. The worst year was 1933 when they made less than 15,000 cars. In 1934, Nash introduced new styling called 'Speedstream' featuring generous use of ornamental moldings in body panels and fenders, in a very streamlined and Art Deco way. The 1935 model year saw yet another complete re-styling known as 'Aeroform' and a further trimming of body styles. But the Eight Series cars were now built on a shorter 125-inch wheelbase and used the smaller former Advanced Eight engine. No longer would Nash build the classic cars of 1930-1934.
This car was hidden during WWII and found in extremely poor condition and made driveable. It was sold and exported to Holland in the 1980s where it remained unused and allowed to deteriorate. It was sold to the present owners in 2014 who commissioned a 5-year total restoration. In 2019 it participated in the International Fougères Rally in Brittany, France.
