This 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible was offered for sale at the 2007 Sports and Classic Car Auction presented by The Worldwide Group, in Hilton Head Island, SC where it was estimated to sell for $25,000 - $35,000. It was offered without reserve. It is powered by a 289 cubic-inch 289 V8 engine and has four-wheel hydraulic brakes.
During the first year of production, 680,000 examples were produced and sold. The production year lasted part of 1964 and 1965. Of the 680,000 created, 99,834 were convertibles.
This Mustang has been treated to a high-dollar restoration and finished in the original color of Slate Green with a tan top and tan parchment interior. The restoration is older but still in good condition.
This car is fitted with options such as air conditioning, factory AM radio, factory boot and deluxe wheel covers.
