1962 Aston Martin DB4 Fastback Coupe

This 1962 Aston Martin DB4 Series 4 GT-Engined Saloon is one of seven examples to have left the Aston Martin works equipped with the uprated 'twin spark' engine off the GT cars. The 3,670cc DOHC inline 6-cylinder unit with triple Weber carburetors produces 320 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and is backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Unique features applied to this car when new include the overdrive, 2 Marchal fog lamps, Ace Silver Peak number plates, Chrome Wheels, GT Engine, Clutch and Oil Cooler, GT Instrument Panel with oil temperature gauge, GT Silences, GT Accessory Pedal, Wing Aerial, 2 Wing Mirrors, GT Pattern Rear wings (fenders) with previous patter tail lights, and Dunlop disc brakes with dual master cylinders without servo.

The car is finished in California sage green with a fawn leather interior. The order was placed through Imperial Motors by M.R. Bogart of Glencoe, a suburb of Chicago. He received the car in early December of 1961. Since then, the car has never been traded publicly in its existence. It later came into the care of Professor Edmonds, who owned it for two decades. Upon its acquisition, it was sent to RM Auto Restoration in Chatham Ontario for refurbishment. It currently wears a restoration that is nearly 30 years old but has been well maintained.
