2018 Morgan Plus 8 50th Edition Roadster

This vehicle is historically significant as it represents the end of an era for one of the most iconic cars manufactured by Morgan. The 50th-Anniversary Edition marks the last and final cars to be equipped with the BMW V8 engine and drive train as these engines are no longer in production. A limited number of 50 vehicles have been produced of which this one is number 2.

The Morgan Plus 8 was a low production model from inception. It started out life in 1968 and was produced until 2002. In 2012 Morgan redesigned the chassis in a limited production bonded aluminum construction and equipped the car with a BMW V8 engine and drivetrain. A total of 249 Plus 8 cars were produced between 2012 and 2017 when production was halted due to limited engine supplies. During this time only 60 speedsters were constructed. The speedster (roadster) is a version of the Plus 8 that has a minimal windshield and no roof which is the format for the 50th Anniversary Edition.

This particular car is the only one of it's kind in the continental United States. Importation was accomplished via the rules for Show and Display set forth by the NHTSA.
