1989 Porsche 911 Speedster

The Speedster Model was introduced in 1989, just prior to the release of the 964 generation of the 911. The Speedster name originated with the 356 and represented the purest and sportiest variant of the model. The 3.2-liter Speedster were endowed with design elements that were reminiscent of its ancestor, the later reworked by chief designer Tony Lapine featuring numerous design cues, including the 'camel hump' cowlings behind the seats which were designed to house the manual top when not in use.

Porsche built 2,065 examples of the Speedster for the 1989 model year with 823 destined for the United States.

This particular Speedster is a single owner example that was delivered via European delivery to its owner, a Porsche dealer himself. It was ordered in Ruby Red over a unique interior that included leather-to-sample Silk Grey with burgundy piping and matching grey carpeting. The work was carried out by the Special Wishes department at Porsche, a luxury reserved for the company's most dedicated clients. The dash board required special approval from Porsche due to the possible reflection from the specified color.

The interior has a unique custom factory-built center console, with a Blaupunkt stereo system, inside and outside temperature gauges, and voltmeter. Currently, this Porsche Speedster has less than 5,100 miles on its odometer and wears its original Tourist Delivery license plate.
