The Porsche 914 was a joint development project between Porsche and Volkswagen and intended as a replacement for both the 912 and Karmann Ghia. The Targa-topped roadster was introduced in 1969 and came with a five-speed gearbox and an all-independent suspension. Most of the 115,000 Porsche 914s built from 1969 to 1976 came equipped with a four-cylinder engine, while approximately 3,300 914/6 models built by Porsche were fitted with the 2.0-liter flat six-cylinder engine from the 911 T, developing 110 horsepower.

This particular 914/6 example is finished in Signal Orange over a black leatherette interior and is equipped with Fuchs wheels, chrome bumpers, passenger-side footrest, and front fog lamps. It is in original condition with the exception of a high-quality repaint in its original hue. Around 2007 it was added to Tommy Trabue's collection and received a serviced in September of 2019.
