This 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400 S wears original Rosso Alfa Acrilico (Alfa Red Acrylic) paint and Pelle Bleu leather interior, a combination that is unique to this example. This car is one of seven Miuras originally delivered in Rosso Alfa, and the last built. It was the 386th Miura built and has three documented owners from new with fewer than 17,500 miles on the odometer. It has its numbers-matching components including the engine, bonnets, doors, and louvers. It has the original interior, glass, and rocker panels.
The car's first owner was Pual F. Zuppke of Minneapolis who retained it for over a quarter-century. In November of 1966, the car was sold to Tim Burns of Bloomington, Minnesota who kept it for over two decades. While in his care it was shown in August 2000 at the 35th Miura Reunion at Concorso Italiano held at the Quail Lodge in Carmel, California. The current owner displayed it at the Concours on the Avenue held in Carmel, California, in August 2019 where it placed second in the Conservation Class.
In 2009 the car received a major service from Tim Keseluk of Bloomington, Minnesota, which included machining of the cylinder heads, retrofitting of valve seals, and new bearings, gaskets, and timing chains. The suspension, brakes, and fuel system were also reconditioned. Another major service occurred in 2018, addressing the fuel, cooling, brake, suspension, exhaust, ignition, and clutch systems. More recently it has been given a re-cored radiator, correct Pirelli Cinturato tires, new fuel filters, and cooling-system valves.By Daniel Vaughan | Jul 2020
