1966 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado Convertible

This 1966 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible was offered for sale at the 2007 Sports and Classic Car Auction presented by The Worldwide Group, in Hilton Head Island, SC where it was estimated to sell for $40,000 - $50,000. Power is from an eight-cylinder engine that displaces 429 cubic inches and is capable of producing 340 horsepower.

The Cadillac Eldorado helped move the marque into the undisputed luxury leader, displacing Packard and others, as it attracted large amounts of buyers due to the large, flamboyant, and elegant designs. Harley Earl's tail fins were a unique feature that became a distinguishable feature that seemed to be looming larger and larger every year. The Eldorado was packed full of optional equipment and technology.

In 1966 Cadillac enjoyed its first 200,000 production calendar year and broke the barrier by a mere 5,001 units.

This 1966 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible has an odometer that reads just 35,000 miles since new. It is equipped with factory options such as AM/FM radio, original spare tire, tilt wheel, power seat, power windows, power brakes, and power steering.

It is finished in a red exterior paint with a tan convertible top. At the auction, the car failed to find an interested buyer willing to satisfy the vehicle's reserve. The car was left unsold.
