1976 Rolls-Royce Corniche Navigation
This Rolls-Royce Corniche fixed-head coupe is an Italian-specification example, built expressly for display at the 1976 Turin Motor Show. After its show debut, its original yellow and green livery proved too polarizing to find a ready retail buyer. The car remained unregistered until 1979, when the paint was changed to its present Rolls-Royce olive green, retaining its original green Everflex roof and green leather interior. Thereafter, the car resided in Rome, Florence, and Venice, where it was owned by a Scandinavian Consul General and local entrepreneur. He became ensnared in a well-publicized political scandal involving the Venice tidal dam project, and the car was placed for sale. The current owner purchased the car in 2017 through a brokering dealer and had it imported to the United States.
