Shadow only participated in the F5000 series in 1975 and 1976. Their DN6 car was based on their DN5-F1 racer. Shadow also secured a contract with Chrysler to develop and use a Dodge engine for the series. DN6-3A was the last of three F5000 racers built and entered competition in mid-1975. It was the primary car used for the series in 1976. It scored Shadow's only win in the series at Road America in 1976. It was also the only F5000 win in the series history for a Dodge-powered car. DN6-3A was newly restored in 2020. The 2021 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance was the first showing of the car since its restoration.
