2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Spyder

The Porsche 918 Spyder utilizes a chassis constructed almost completely of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic composite, endowed with a 90-degree V8 engine based upon the unit powering the Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 Le Mans prototype, using a flat-plane crankshaft, four valves per cylinder, dry-sump lubrication, and titanium connecting rods. It produces 133 horsepower per liter of displacement for a total output of 608 horsepower. Power is taken to higher levels by a pair of electric motors, with one being mated to the engine itself and another providing drive to the front axle. These electric motors deliver an additional 284 horsepower, bringing total output to 887 horsepower and 994 pound-feet of torque. There is a PDK seven-speed transmission, carbon-ceramic disc brakes, six-piston calipers in the front, four-piston calipers at the rear, and lightweight alloy wheels.

This Porsche 918 Spyder, with factory-fitted options, had an original retail price of nearly $900,000 UDS. It is finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over Garnet red leather with silver piping. There are heated lightweight seats, 21-inch lightweight magnesium wheels, an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel, and Porsche's 'glare reducing packaging.'

This Porsche was ordered through Porsche of Towson in Towson, Maryland, and delivered in December of 2014. It currently has 2,620 miles on the odometer.
