1959 Fiat 500 Sedan

The Fiat 500 Jolly was introduced in 1958 and used the 479 cubic-centimeter two-cylinder engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Its whimsical coachwork was courtesy of Carrozzeria Ghia, endowed with character and panache that made it ideally suitable for island resorts and beaches all around the world.

This particular example boasts six-plus decades of single-family ownership. The first owner is believed that have used it for use as a yacht tender. Shortly after taking delivery, it was found to be too large for his boat. The grandfather of the current owner acquired the Jolly in nearly new condition from the frustrated yachtsman.

The Jolly was brought to the family's cottage in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and used regularly around the area. In March of 2006, the Jolly (then owned by its third-generation owner) received a restoration by Abacus Racing of Virginia Beach which was completed in November of 2007. The body was repainted in its original Coral, and new seating surfaces fitted.
