1929 Chrysler Series 75 Navigation
The Chrysler 75 employed a large 7-main-bearing flathead engine backed by a three-speed transmission and fitted with hydraulic brakes. Model 75 Chrysler's were entered in the Mille Miglia, Le Mans, and the 24hrs of Spa. The Chrysler 75 finished 3rd and 4th in Le Mans in 1928, earning the nickname the 'Poor Man's Bentley'. A Model 75 won the 5-liter class at the Mille Miglia in both 1929 and 1930.
This particular Chrysler 75 Roadster spent many years in the Chicago area by a physician who treated the car to an extensive cosmetic restoration. The work included a full repaint and reupholstering of both the driver's compartment and rumble seat in brown leather.
The car was acquired by the current owner in 2016 and was sent to Anderson Restorations in Kanawha, Iowa to receive a thorough and extensive mechanical restoration. This work included a rebuild of the engine, full electrical rewire, new radiator, transmission refurbishment, rear differential rebuild, and the fitment of a Mitchell overdrive.
