1933 Pierce-Arrow Model 1236 Twelve Club Brougham

Pierce-Arrow introduced two 12-cylinder engines in 1932. This vehicle has the 429 cubic-inch version which generates 160 horsepower at 3,400 RPM. In 1933, Ab Jenkins drove a Pierce-Arrow V12 at the Bonneville Salt Flats for 25.5 hours at an average speed of 117 miles per hour. This was among the 66 records he set while observed by AAA. Period advertising stated that 'driving along the highway the most noticeable noise is the ticking of the clock.'

This car was originally sold to Colonel Diamond of the Army Air Corps, and it has only changed hands three times. Among the many features are tinted safety glass on all windows and a Startix, a device that automatically restarts the engine if its stalls.
