1963 Dodge 330 Lightweight Superstock 2-Door Sedan

There were plenty of changes in 1963 in the drag racing world. Rule changes allowed an increase in engine size allowing Chrysler to bore the mighty Max Wedge 413 to 426 cubic inches. This 1963 Dodge is among the very first of the factory lightweight Super Stocks built. Under the hood is the 426 dual four-barrel engine with 13.5 compression backed by the bulletproof push-button TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Additional features include the aluminum front fenders, bumpers, and hood with a special fresh air hood scoop.

This 330, one of a mere 34 built, was purchased from King Dodge in Minneapolis and raced by Wain Pearce regionally. It would be listed in the 1963 U.S. Nationals program and built quite a reputation as a force to be reckoned with. It has been fully restored to its original King Dodge livery and has extensive documentation and full history since new.
