1982 Rolls-Royce Camargue Coupe

1982 Rolls-Royce Camargue Navigation
Only 531 Rolls-Royce Camargues were built from 1975 through 1986, making it among the rarest of all Rolls-Royce motor cars ever produced. It was the most expensive car in the company's lineup, costing double the price of a Corniche Convertible. Rather than decorate the car with traditional Rolls-Royce cliches, Pininfarina designer Paolo Martin, created a simple, contemporary form that exuded a modernity that was unfamiliar to most buyers of the era. Its styling made it the most controversial Rolls-Royce of all time. It was seen as ultra-chic by the people who could afford to buy one but was viewed as awkward by the people who could only dream of owning one.

So much focus is on the styling that people rarely discuss that this was the best handling and riding Rolls-Royce of the era. This example was Rolls-Royce's North American show car for 193 and is the only Camargue in this color combination.
