1989 Ford Via Concept Navigation
Ford debuted this concept car at the 1990 Chicago Auto Show. It was designed by brothers Ian and Moray Callum. It's a true concept car, with no engine, drive train, or working electrical system. After the debut, it was exhibited at a number of Ford Dealerships. An interesting fact is that in 1989, Ford and Moray Callum thought that future cars would have the photovoltaic glass roof that could be dimmed electronically along with a very sleek interior.
Moray Callum had worked with Carrozzeria Ghia to design the exterior of the Ghia Concept. he learned recently that it had been put up for auction on an online site. Moray was interested so he bid, and now he owns this car - one he designed!
