1963 Chevrolet Corvette Navigation
With the ground-breaking styling and design by Larry Shinoda, the Corvette Sting Ray took the world by storm. With Bill Mitchell at the helm of Chevrolet, he knew that being involved in racing would lead to selling cars. With inspiration coming from a smooth, fast, and sleek sea-creature, the Sting Ray would be the natural evolution. Competitive racing would indeed lead to showroom sales, and 1963 would also be the first year that the Corvette would be offered in two distinct body styles.
This Sebring Silver coupe is just like the one used in period brochures and advertising of the day. Sleek, powerful, and timeless, the split rear window design would last for only one year but would become among the most recognized and desired designs of all time.
