2014 Pagani Huayra Navigation
In 2011, a totally new model arose from the creative spirit of the team led by Horacio Pagani. The eternal element Air, in all its forms - especially wind - became a determining factor in defining the concept and style of the Huayra.
A jet turbine combined with the silent grace of a glider. The elegance of the movement of the wind juxtaposed with the ferocity and force that it can unleash. Huayra is the God of the Wind in the Quechua culture of certain populations living in the Andes of South America, and the whole car seems to be sculpted by that element. A new V12 twin-turbocharged engine developed by AMG and Active Aerodynamics made its debut for the very first time in a ground vehicle.
Heir to the Zonda, but totally different in form, dimension, dynamics and technology, the Pagani Huayra went on to achieve important acclaims and in 2012 was named Car of the Year by the world's top three automotive magazines.
On display, a stunning specimen of the Huayra Coupe with the Tempesta pack upgrade. Its distinctive elements are immediately recognizable - the exclusive wheels, larger and lighter than the standard; the front splitter and rear diffuser; the entire underbody optimizing the airflow under the chassis. The higher downforce made it necessary to develop 4-way Ohlins shock absorbers for even more responsive behavior, further reducing roll and pitch for a sporty yet comfortable driving experience. On top, the new titanium exhaust system generates a thrilling melody and it weighs just 7 kilos, 3 kilos lighter than the standard on the Huayra Coupe, which is already one of the lightest in its segment.
The car was recently fitted with a carbon-fiber air scoop and a carbon-fiber spoiler with aluminum supports. it also benefits from the Pagani L.E.O. platform upgrade and the Pagani Puro program certification.
The Huayra Coupe and Coupe BC deserve a special place in the collector's garage being the only Pagani to feature gullwing doors.
