2019 Acura ARX-05 Prototype Navigation
Acura proudly debuted the ARX-05 -- Acura Racing eXperimental, generation 05, as a pair of Daytona Prototype International (DPi) entries. The ARX-05 is the latest in a line of endurance prototypes dating back to 1991, just five years after the 1986 launch of the Acura brand. Commencing with the start of the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, Wayne Taylor Racing has fielded an Acura ARX-05 in its legendary blue and black number 10 Konica Minolta colors in the Daytona Prototype International class.
The engine is a production-based Acura AR35TT 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged direct-injected V6 engine. The chassis is ORECA 07 with Acura-designed bodywork. The number 10 was driven by Helio Castroneves, Ricky Taylor, Alexander Rossi, and Filipe Albuquerque.
