1956 Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia Coupe

The Karmann Ghia was built between 1955 and 1974, with this being the original 'lowlight' body style used until 1959 when the front fenders were revised to raise the headlights and the front grilles were changed.

This Ghia was purchased and used by the current owner's aunt in 1962 in Concord, California, and has been in the family ever since. It passed into the current owner's care when he turned 16 and it became his high school car. It was his daily driver until the early 1990s when he gave up on the aging six-volt electrical system. Converting to the 12-volt and a 1600cc Volkswagen engine, he gave the Ghia a new life and restoration of the body and chassis from 2017 to 2018 which gave it back its great looks.
