    1916 Packard Twin Six Navigation
Introduced in May of 1915, this was the first production twelve-cylinder automobile engine in the United States. Of the 3,606 examples built on the 125-inch chassis, only 20 exist today, and only four are Runabouts.

Production of the new Packard First Series Twin Six began in 1915 for the 1916 model year.

This 1-25 Runabout, finished in royal blue and black, shows the superb craftsmanship for which Packard was famous. Its instrumentation includes a speedometer, odometer, ammeter, fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, spot lamp, Boyce MotoMeter, and a Waltham 8-Day clock. The Packard Club estimates that of the 3,606 examples built on the 125-inch chassis, only 20 exist today - and only four First Series Runabouts are in existence. This car is newly restored, and it is cared for at the Audrain Museum in Newport, Rhode Island.
