1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Coupe

The 25th Anniversary Countach was launched in 1988 and was the perfect thoroughbred to allow the Countach to leave the bullring in typical Lamborghini style. This sumptuous iteration of the model featured air-conditioning, a restyling by Pagani, with redesigned fins and a smoother contour that suggests suavity, rather than the aggressive overtones of the former Countach silhouette.

This Countach was the last of the original Countach ever built (the Countach name was revived in 2001 dubbed the Countach LPI 800-4, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Countach. It was completed on July 4, 1990, and is the car featured in the famous 'Grazie Countach' official photograph celebrating the end of production. The final Countach has remained with Automobili Lamborghini since its completion and is usually displayed in the MUDETEC (Museum of Technologies) at the factory in Sat'Agata Bolognese in Italy, occasionally departing for corporate press events. In 2020, this Countach took its longest trip so far, driven by racer Emanuele Pirro, the two-time Sebring and five-time Le Mans winner. Fittingly, Pirro drove the Countach from Rome back to Modena, with racetrack laps at Misano, Varano, Imola and Mugello - a fitting and honorable epilogue to a long and storied journey for the Lamborghini Countach.
