1985 Lamborghini Countach Coupe

In 1971, the first Countach prototypes featured a 5-liter engine, but production cars were built with the 3,929cc capacity unit, denoted as the LP400. It wasn't until 1982 that the Countach finally received the 5-liter engine that it was originally designed for. Called the 500S by some, but officially designated the 5000S, the new Countach was exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show and went into production soon thereafter, with 321 units built over a three-year period. The 5000S achieved a top speed of 186.4 miles an hour and could accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 5.6 seconds.

This European example was imported to the United States in November 1984 by Ultimate Motors of Orlando, Florida. It was completed in Nero Tenebre (Deep Black) over a Nero interior and remained with its original owner until 2013, when it was acquired by Craig Brody. In 2020, the current owners acquired the 5000S, which still has only 4,000 original kilometers on the odometer. Never restored, and always painstakingly preserved, this lovely all original Countach still has its Alpine cassette player and all the manuals that accompanied it from the Sant'Agata factory in 1984.
