1960 Aston Martin DB4 FastBack Coupe

This DB4's - DB for David Brown - first owner was Mattel, Inc. one of the largest toy makers in the world; it includes the Hot Wheels and Barbie (doll) brands in its portfolio. The current owner purchased the Series 2 car in 1964 and honeymooned in the car 55 years ago. Except for the drivetrain, the owner completed 95-percent of the restoration including body and paint - a first-timer for paint! Launched in 1958 with a totally fresh chassis and engine, the DB4 was superseded by the DB5 in 1963. The chassis is a steel platform plus superleggera tube frame onto which the body panels are fastened. The body was designed by Carrozzeria Touring of Milan. The engine, an inline 6-cylinder, twin-cam of 3670cc with 240 horsepower was designed in-house by Tadek Marek.
