1954 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Navigation
The Oldsmobile 881 (known from 1989 onwards as the Eighty Eight) is a full-size automobile that was sold and produced by Oldsmobile from 1949 to 1999. The 88 series was also the image leader for Oldsmobile, particularly in the early years (1949 to 1951).
The high performance of the car allowed the 88 to participate in the NASCAR racing series. The model won 6 of the 9 races in 1949, 10 of the 19 races in 1950 and 20 of the 41 races in 1952.
Doug Mockett, the owner of this Oldsmobile, is an icon of La Carrera Panamericana. he is the competitor who has participated the most since 1992 without any interruption.
