1931 Auburn Model 8-98A Cabriolet

Clothed with a 2-door Cabriolet body, this 1931 model-year 8-98A eight-cylinder Auburn is equipped with dual side-mounted spare wheels, an accessory trunk and rack, driving lights, and dual chrome horns. Its 269 cubic-inch Lycoming inline-8 cylinder engine is fitted with a single Stromberg carburetor and produces nearly 100 horsepower at 3,600 RPM. It is backed by a three-speed manual transmission and there are four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. It is finished in silver-grey with black fenders and red pinstripe wire wheels.

In 2011, the car joined the collection of the late Robert L. Byers and has since been kept in a climate-controlled showroom.
