1986 Koenig Testarossa Navigation
This 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Koenig Special was purchased new by Donald L. Weber from Ferrari agents in Switzerland and sent directly to Koenig Specials for modification. It was given wider front and rear fenders, 9' x 16' and 12' x 15' BBS three-piece wheels, sport springs and shock absorbers, and a MOMO steering wheel. The 4,942cc dual overhead camshaft, horizontally opposed 12-cylinder engine is equipped with a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system and delivers 380 horsepower at 5,750 RPM. It was ordered with a set of Koenig sport camshafts, though it is not clear if these were ever installed. The engine is backed by a five-speed manual transaxle and ventilated disc brakes are at all four corners.
The upgrades were finished in November of 1986 and upon completion, the car was sent to the United States by Lufthansa and federalized by M-Tec of Gardena, California, and subsequently imported and delivered to Mr. Weber.
Currently, this Ferrari has 15,180 km on the odometer and has seen minimal use, and is in running condition.By Daniel Vaughan | Nov 2021
