2012 Lexus LFA Coupe

This Lexus LFA is the 54th of 500 examples built between 201 and 2012, and one of just 26 examples finished in Metallic Silver. The 4.8-liter V10 engine produces 552 horsepower and is backed by an Aisin six-speed automated manual transmission. It was delivered new via Lexus of Austin, Texas with an original MSRP of $380,000.

The V10 engine had been co-developed with Yamaha and built in the same facility as Toyota Racing's F1 V10s. Although it had more cylinders, it was smaller than an equivalent V-8 and lighter than an equivalent V-6, due to its block being formed from aluminum, titanium alloy, and magnesium. It had an extremely fast throttle response and could rev from idle to 9,000 RPM in just six-tenths of a second. Since analog tachometers were unable to keep pace with the engine's ability, the LFA's instrument cluster was all-digital.

The LFA weighed 3,200 pounds and had a 48 / 52 weight distribution thanks to its generous use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, aluminum, magnesium, and titanium alloys.

Of the 500 LFA models built, 64 received the 'Nürburgring Package.'

The interior of this example is finished in a combination of red and black leather upholstery, black stitching, black Alcantara headliner, red floormats over black carpeting, and gloss carbon fiber accents with black-anodized magnesium trim. It has red brake calipers and rests on polished 20-inch wheels. There is an original car cover and carbon fiber Tumi luggage. Currently, 3,850 miles are listed on the odometer.
