1984 Ferrari 512 BBi Coupe

Ferrari's top-of-the-range 512 BB model gained fuel injection in 1981 for its 4.9-liter, horizontally opposed 12-cylinder engine resulting in a new name - the 512 BBi. Compared to the previous carburetor setup, the fuel injection system boosted output by 20 foot-pounds of torque, with zero-to-sixty mph accomplished in 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 173 mph.

A total of 1,007 examples of the BBi version were federalization by an approved modifier in America, and just 144 were built in its final year.

This example is finished in Nero over tan leather uphostlery. It was imported from Maranello when new and federalized by a licensed agent in California. It is believed that the car resided within California ownership from new, and has been driven just shy of 900 kilometers since December 2000. Around late 2001 and 2003, the car was put into static storage where it remained until acquisition by the current caretaker during the summer of 2020.

Upon acquisition, the car was sent to Scuderia Performante of Malvern, Pennsylvania to perform over $14,000 in mechanical recommissioning. The work included replacing the fuel delivery and injection system with new components. A new battery was installed and the braking system received a full flush and rebuilds to all four of the car's original brake calipers.

The car remains in its factory-correct finishes throughout, including the tan Daytona-pattern upholstery. There is a Pioneer audio system with an equalizer, Cibie foglamps, and Vitaloni mirrors. The center-mount wheels are wrapped with Michelin TRX tires.
