1960 Dodge Polara Sedan

The Dodge Polara was a new model line for 1960 and rested on a full-size, 122-inch wheelbase and wore space-age styling cues that continued upon the 'Forward Look' cars designed by Virgil Exner for 1957. Among the design cues were shortened tail fins, stacked jet exhaust-style tail lamp bezels, and an abundance of chrome trim. Five different body styles were offered and the well-appointed interiors were luxuriously appointed.

This particular Dodge Polara Sedan wears an older restoration and Fawn Metallic paint with a white top over a two-tone interior. Under the bonnet is a 361 cubic-inch V8 backed by a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, which is actuated by a push-button selector on the dashboard console. Among the list of amenities include power steering, power brakes, and power mirrors, along with a compass, air conditioning, and an AM/FM radio. Turbine-style wheels with center discs are shod with whitewall tires.
