1948 Diamond T Model 201 Navigation
This 1948 Diamond T 201 Pickup was purchased by its current caretaker in 2005 from Tom Nolan of Torrance, California. A comprehensive restoration followed its acquisition using numerous Ohio-based craftsmen. Columbiana Maintenance rebuilt the engine. Bill Borelli rebuilt the carburetor, Whitepost Restoration re-lined the brakes, Tim's Body Shop restored the body, and Apple Hydraulics rebuilt the shock absorbers. A new paint finish in red with freehanded pinstriping was by Guy Shively, while Parker Upholstery re-trimmed the interior.
After the restoration was completed, the 201 was shown at AACA concours d'elegance on two occasions, winning a Junior Award at Hershey in 2008 and a Senior Award a year later. In 2012, it was shown at the Keeneland Concours d'Elegance.By Daniel Vaughan | Jan 2022
