1909 Buick Model G Navigation
This 1909 Buick Model G had a single rumble seat, a.k.a a 'mother-in-law' seat, and was found in a barn in Indiana. It was given a four-year restoration by Ed Messenger of Longview, Texas, and was rewarded with a National First Junior in Antique Automobile Club of America judging in the spring of 1999. It later took a National First Senior and then the AACA Cup in February 2000.
New owners acquired the vehicle in 2003 and it is believed that they used it extensively in AACA, Horseless Carriage Club, and Veteran Motor Car Club tours. The current caretaker acquired the vehicle in 2013.
The car wears an older restoration and is finished in the factory-correct dark red bodywork and red wheels and undercarriage. It has brass brightwork, leather upholstery, a bulb horn, a Stewart speedometer, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.By Daniel Vaughan | Feb 2022
