1932 Packard Model 900 Light Eight Convertible Coupe

With an overall weight of approximately 3,930 pounds, the Light Eight 2/4 Passenger Coupe Roadster weighed much less than the larger Packards of the era, and its $1,795 price tag was far below its Standard Eight siblings. Despite its 'discount' compared to the other Packard models, it was not low enough to attract meaningful sales volume and was too cheaply priced to make economic sense for Packard. Thus, just 6,750 examples of the Light Eight were built before they were discontinued before the 1933 model year.

A unique styling feature of the Light Eight line included a special 'shovelnose' grille and power was sourced from a 320 cubic-inch straight-eight engine producing 110 horsepower and backed by a three-speed manual transmission.

This particular Coupe Roadster was delivered new via the Los Angeles showroom of Earle C. Anthony. It currently wears an older restoration in two-tone brown over a brown interior with a tan convertible top. There is a rear trunk rack, dual side-mount spares, driving lights, and a driver's side mirror.
