1933 Packard 1001 Eight Navigation
The new Tenth Series models were introduced in January of 1933 and the Eight was offered in two different wheelbase lengths, with the shorter 127.5-inch wheelbase version dubbed the 1001.
This particular Coupe Roadster is believed to be the 191st of 205 examples built and was originally sold by Stuyvesant Motors in Kingston, New York. By the mid-1970s the Model 1001 was owned by Steve Ross of Rochester, New York, and he sold the car in 1977 to the current owner.
In 2003, work began on a full restoration which would ultimately take a decade to complete. Upon its completion in mid-2013, the Packard was presented at a handful of AACA concours d'elegance, winning a Junior Award at Auburn in May 2017, and a Senior Award at Hershey five months later.By Daniel Vaughan | Feb 2022
