1939 Alvis Speed 25 Navigation
This 1939 Alvis Speed 25 wears two-door saloon coachwork by Vanden Plas with styling by John Bradley. It is one of three examples in this configuration produced of which only two are known to have survived.
This two-door saloon has an ash-framed body devoid of a B-pillar to add rigidity to the bodyshell. There is a large sunroof and the windscreen can be opened. It is powered by a numbers-matching, 3.6-liter inline six-cylinder engine and currently has 55,900 actual miles.
This Alvis was dispatched to its originating dealer for delivery on June 14th of 1939 and it was owned by several consecutive owners within England before it was acquired by its current caretaker in 1972.
