1932 Packard Model 906 Twin Six Sport Phaeton

Packard's 9th Series Twin Six was introduced at the New York Automobile Show, re-entering Packard into the multi-cylinder race spawned by its competitors. The V-12 was designated Twin Six, a one-year-only reminder of the WWI-era Twin Six Packards. Beginning in 1933 until the final cars were produced in 1939, the V-12 was known simply as the Packard Twelve.

This car was purchased new on May 16, 1932, at the E.R. Mack agency in Albany, New York by Harry Sharp of Bronxville, New York. Upon his retirement in 1955, the car was placed in storage until 1962 when purchased by its second owner. The Bahre family acquired the car in the mid-1980s becoming its third owner. It is generally accepted that it is one of two surviving examples of 906 Dietrich Sport Phaetons of at least two produced.
