2018 Ferrari Monza SP1 Navigation
The Monza SP1 and SP2 are part of Ferrari's Icona series; a program aimed at creating special cars inspired by classic Ferrari models - in this instance, the 750 Monza, 250 Testa Rossa, and the 166MM. Introduced in 2018 for the 2019 model year, SP1's are single-seaters while SP2's have two seats. Both models use small scissor doors and neither have windshields, instead relying on a patented system Ferrari calls the 'Virtual Windshield,' which deviates airflow away from the driver. A 799 horsepower 6.5-liter V-12 provides motivation; at the time of introduction the most powerful factory V-12 produced by Ferrari. The manufacturer claims 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph. It is anticipated that a total of 499 will be produced when production ceases.
