1930 DuPont Model G Special Sedan

Of the 200 Model G's produced, eight were Special Sport Sedans. Unique styling features include a highly polished aluminum inset just below the side windows, a pronounced vee-shaped windshield, and concave body sides at the beltline just above the door handles that blend into the hood molding. E. Paul duPont filed a design patent in December of 1927 for the unique body. This was the fifth Sport Sedan built. It was sent to the Los Angeles dealer and sold to Mrs. Julie E. Schertzinger, the wife of Victor L. Schertzinger, an American composer, film director, producer, and screenwriter famous for the songs, I Remember You and Tangerine. It returned to the factory in Wilmington, Delaware in February 1931 and was rumored to have been used by E. Paul duPont's wife for several years.
