Ferrari built 448 limited-edition examples of the 550 Barchetta in 2001 and this particular Ferrari is the 322nd. The 550 Barchetta roadster was built in commemoration of longtime partner Pininfarina's 70th anniversary and in remembrance of the company's great sports-racing Barchettas of the 1950s. Each Barchetta was given an interior plaque inscribed with the car's numerical order in the production sequence and signed by Sergio Pininfarina. This particular example is finished in silver with black upholstery and was purchased new by an Ohio-based enthusiast. The second owner purchased it in July of 2005. It has been used sparingly throughout its existence, including in its current ownership, and presently has just 177 miles on the odometer. This Ferrari is powered by a 5,500cc dual overhead camshaft V12 engine with Bosch Motronic 5.2 fuel injection and delivers 485 horsepower at 7,000 RPM. There is a six-speed manual transaxle, four-wheel ventilated Brembo disc brakes, and an independent suspension with coil springs and automatic dampening.
