1976 Ferrari 308 GTB

The fiberglass-bodied versions of the 308 were nearly 330 pounds lighter than their steel-bodied counterparts. As few as 712 examples of the 308 wore the fiberglass material, and 100 of those were sent to North America, and these cars were distinctively configured with engines that feature wet sump lubrication.

This particular Ferrari 308 GTB Vetroresina is one of the few that were sent to Canada when new. It was sold via Luigi Sports Cars of Montreal on October 25th, 1976, to Jean Robidoux of Sherbrooke, Quebec. It remained in Ontario for many years, and from November 2000 until March 2015, it resided in a prominent collection in Toronto. While in Toronto, it was given a multi-year restoration to original specification, and upon completion, it was awarded a Platino Award at the Cavallino Concorso d'Eleganza in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Ferrari wears a Rosso Corsa exterior with tan leather with black inserts interior. It rides on date-coded Campagnolo wheels shod in Michelin XWX tires. The original metric odometer was replaced by a US-spec unit that reads in miles, with the original odometer showing 43,042 kilometers and the installed replacement reading 26,970 miles.
