This 1930 Buick Model 30-68 Coupe was offered for sale at the Vintage Motor Cars sale at Hershey, PA presented by RM Auctions. It was estimated to sell for $50,000 - $60,000 and offered without reserve. The lot was sold for a high bid of $38,500 including buyer's premium.

This five-passenger Coupe has been treated to a frame-off restoration in the early 2000s. It is painted in cream with a black painted roof and fenders and red beltline and cream pin stripping. The interior is rich tan mohair with wool carpets. It has the rare and highly sought-after chrome twin headlights and fog lights, dual side-mounted spare tires with mirrors, a trunk rack with a Howard trunk, wind wings, hood ornament, and six painted wire wheels.

This vehicle has an AACA badge number W15102 and was made a junior member in 2001, and later achieved its current senior award status. It is one of six remaining 1930 Series 60 Model 68 Buicks register to the Buick Car Club of America.

This is a 1930 Buick Series 60 Model 30-68 five-passenger coupe. It is powered by a 331.5 cubic-inch six-cylinder engine with 98 horsepower (33.75 SAE). This was the last year for the straight 6. The cost for this vehicle was $1740 with a total of 10,216 examples being created. There are only six that registered with the Buick Club of America in modern times.

The Series 60 was the largest model constructed by Buick in 1930 and served as a replacement for the Series 129. It sat on a 132-inch wheelbase and rode on 6.50x19 tires. The interior had full carpeting and a dash panel similar to its Series 50 sibling.

The lowest cost Series 60 was the two-door Roadster, with seating for four. It would set the buyer back $1585. The highest costing Series Sixty was the four-door limousine with seating for seven. This cost over $2050; production of this body style was low, with only 690 examples being created. The most popular body style was the four-door sedan which saw a production level of 12,508 ascertained.
