1925 Hupmobile Model R Club Sedan

The Hupp Mobile Car Company offered the last four-cylinder Hupmobile in 1925. The Model R-14 Club Sedan had a 182.5 cubic-inch four-cylinder engine, producing 16.5 horsepower. It was connected to a three-speed manual transmission. There were 15,118 Club Sedans built in 1925 that were offered at the original base price of $1,375. The Model R-14 had a 115-inch wheelbase and weighed 2,895 pounds. Kelsey wood wheels were standard on 31 x 5.25 balloon tires. Standard appointments included a black-grained leatherette top with landau irons on the rear quarters and a velour interior with a seating capacity for five. A Moto Meter, winged-radiator cap stoop atop the radiator. The car was purchased on July 3, 1925, for $1,585 from Wagenseil Motor Car Co. in Brooklyn, New York. The car was purchased from the family of the original owner at an auction in December 2018. This example is 1 of 6 known to exist today.
