1959 Citroen Squal Prototype Sports Coupe

The Citroen Squal was a factory design study from 1959, dubbed 'The French BAT,' and was an exploration of what a low-slung aggressive sports car could look like from the company, based on simple sporting mechanical. It was then shown at the 1960 Paris Motor Show painted in the same Orange as the 1959 DS. The car was recently found and restored as shown at the Motor Show with the help of the original designer, Guy Mismaue, who at 87 years old, was elated to see his masterpiece being restored. The 2022 edition of The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering was the first time the car was shown since 1960.
