1936 Cadillac Series 60 Coupe

All Cadillacs received fresh styling for 1936. For the model year, Cadillac fielded the Series 60, 70 and 75; depending on engine and wheelbase. The new 60 Series was the marque's price leader intended to compete with Packard's very successful 120 and strengthen Cadillac's position in the medium-price market. Built on a 121-inch wheelbase, the Series 60 was offered in three Fisher body choices - all shared with Buick. Cadillacs featured a new 'third generation' V-8 for 1936 featuring monobloc construction - the cylinder block and crankcase were a single iron casting. The 322 CID unit offered 125 horsepower in Series 60 models. Interestingly, 1936 Cadillacs featured hydraulic brakes for the first time - two years later than its companion LaSalle.
