1936 Packard Model 1402 Eight Navigation
This Packard Series 1402 Convertible Sedan by Dietrich Inc. wears an older restoration and is finished in period-correct Thistle Green Dark over dark green leather with a beige fabric convertible soft-top. It rides on dark green center-lock wire wheels wrapped with Firestone wide whitewall tires. Beneath the bonnet is a 320 cubic-inch, L-head straight-eight engine delivering 130 horsepower. There are dual side-mount spare tires with covers, rearview mirrors, Trippe driving lights, and a radio.
The 1936 model year was the final year Packards would receive the Dietrich body tag.
The car received a restoration by Robert Turnquist's Hibernia Auto Restoration in New Jersey that was thoroughly refreshed in 2013 by Phoenix Auto Restoration in New Jersey, where it was repainted in period-correct Thistle Green Dark and received a new fabric soft-top.By Daniel Vaughan | Oct 2022
