1947 Packard Custom Super Clipper Eight Standard Wheelbase Sedan

The Custom Super Clipper Eight was at the pinnacle of the 21st Series Packard hierarchy, equipped with a 365 cubic-inch straight-eight engine offering 165 horsepower. The nine-main bearing unit was paired with a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive, and offered in both standard and extended wheelbase sizes. A total of 5,690 examples of the standard-wheelbase Custom Super Clippers were built for 1947, including both Touring and Club Sedans.

This particular Custom Super Clipper Eight Touring Sedan has passed through three Texan owners from 1961 to 2010. In 2011 it left the Lone Star State for Pennsylvania and in 2019 it was acquired by an individual from Ohio. The car received a restoration approximately two decades ago and is finished in Atlantic Blue Metallic paint over blue upholstery with light beige pinstriping. It has woodgrain trim, dual heaters, and a Custom headliner. The clock has been upgraded to quartz and the radio to AM/FM. The chrome wheel covers with loisonné centers are paired with Diamondback radial whitewall tires. There is a 'Goddess of Speed' hood mascot, accessory fog lights, and bumper guards.

In 2014, the car received $40,000 worth of mechanical work.
