1922 Packard Single Six Runabout

The Packard 116s were priced in Cadillac territory but were sized like a Buick, which ultimately led to slow sales. Packard quickly rectified the problem with the mid-1922 introduction of two new Single Six lines - the 126 and 1933. Like the 116, the names reflected the company's wheelbase lengths in inches. They offered quality, style, and performance that Packard had built its reputation upon, all at a reasonable and attractive price. Packard witnessed double-digit sales increases between 1921 and 1922, and the popular Single Six lines were carried forward into 1923 with little change.

The Packard Single Six was priced around $2,5000 and came equipped with a 268.5 cubic-inch, L-head inline six-cylinder engine producing 54 horsepower.

This Model 126 Runabout joined the Paul Bush collection during the 1970s. It was purchased from a Gentleman in California.

This car is finished in Royal blue bodywork with black fenders and top.
