This Lamborghini Miura P400 S is powered by a 3,929cc DOHC all-alloy twelve-cylinder engine breathing through four triple-choke Weber carburetors and delivering 350 horsepower at 7,000 RPM. There is a five-speed manual transaxle, an independent suspension system, and four-wheel disc brakes. It has been given a fastidious restoration by Bobileff Motorcar Company.
This Lamborghini was completed at the Sant'Agata Bolgnese-based Works during the Summer of 1969 and dispatched on August 11th of that year. It left the factory wearing Rosso Corsa (Italian racing red) over a Nero/Beige (black and tan) interior. This U.S.-destined car with factory air conditioning was destined for the US market, via notable Swiss exotic car dealer Garage Foitek. The car was received by California-based Italian car importer Bob Estes and delivered it to the first owner, a La Jolla, California-based businessman named Mr. Clifford Graham. It was soon sold by Mr. Graham to a Mr. Stanley Rouhe of Riverside, California who retained it for at least three decades. In January of 2007, the car was offered for sale and sold the following month to a resident of Connecticut, before being purchased by a New Orleans-based attorney in 2009. During 2009 and 2010, the car was given a restoration by San Diego-based Bobileff Motorcar Company.
Upon completion of the restoration, the Lamborghini wore period-correct 'Verde Miura' lime green, over black interior and grey carpets. The car was soon acquired by its current caretaker, a Utah-based collector, and shown at the 2012 Quail Motorsports Gathering event, where it was awarded the Revolutionary Designs class win. It returned to the Quail the following year and featured in the 'Retrospect of Automobili Lamborghini Celebrating 50 Years' event.
While in the current caretaker's care, the car has been given a mechanical restoration.
This Lamborghini has the correct Carello lights and lenses, silver painted rocker panels, the classic Campagnolo silver-painted alloy wheels wrapped with period correct Michelin XWX tires, and the numbers-matching 4.0-Liter DOHC V12 engine.
