1973 Jaguar XKE E-Type Navigation
Jaguar introduced the Series III E-Type in 1971 equipped with the Walter Hassan/Harry Mundy-developed 5.3-liter SOHC V12 engine. At the front was a large cross-slatted radiator grille, flared wheel arches accommodating wider track and bigger tires, and V12 nomenclature adorning the tail. Power steering was now standard along with uprated brakes.
This 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 Roadster is powered by a 5,343cc SOHC V-12 engine breathing through four Stromberg carburetors and delivering 275 horsepower at 5,850 RPM. There is an automatic transmission, disc brakes, and an independent suspension. The roadster was completed in January of 1973 and left the Browns Lane Jaguar Works configured as a left-hand drive car, destined for the US. Its paint scheme was similar to the same it wears today - Sand Green exterior color with contrasting Olive-colored leather interior. It has been cared for by one single owner for nearly half a century and currently has just over 29,000 miles on the odometer.
